Ok if u all haven’t heard of coconut sugar then its your lucky day cause I’m about to change your life.
Tastes kind of like a brown sugar… with a hint of a caramel undertones. It’s sweet, but not sickeningly sweet like white sugar can be. Offers a lot more flavour to the tea/coffee/goods than just sweetness.
WHY COCONUT SUGAR?
Because it’s damn good. But apart from that, it has a low glycemic index (a 35) which means that it is safe to use (obviously in moderation) for diabetics of people sensitive to sugars. It is better for you than refined white sugar, cane sugar, and brown sugar. Why you ask? Because of it’s high mineral content. It boasts a high content of nitrogen, potassium, zinc, & iron. As well it contains vitamins B1, B2, B3, & B6. It also has the same caloric content as regular sugar.
It can be used as a 1:1 substitute for any sugar, however keep in mind it is not as sweet, so if you’d like it to be as sweet as conventional sugar you may want to taste and adjust to your sweetness level.
